Registration for the 2018 National Geographic Bee is Now Open!

The Nat Geo Bee is an annual geography competition for students at the school, state, and national levels where students in grades 4-8 compete for a chance to win up to $50,000 in college scholarships. While students study for the Bee, they learn about the world, its people, and important historical events.

2018 NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC BEE KEY DATES:

Aug 2, 2017 Early, discounted registration opens. $120. Check or credit card payments.
Oct 2, 2017 School Bee materials available for download.
Oct 2, 2017 – Feb 2, 2018 School Bees held. Date & time determined locally.
Dec. 22, 2017 – Jan 26, 2018 Registration limited to credit card transactions only, $140.
Jan 26, 2018 Bee registration closes.
Feb 2, 2018 Deadline for completion of State Bee Qualifying Tests.
March 2, 2018 Notification date for state qualifiers.

April 6, 2018 State Bees

May 20-23, 2018 National Championship,  National Geographic Society Headquarters, Washington, D.C.

Each year thousands of schools in the United States participate in the National Geographic Bee using materials prepared by the National Geographic Society. The contest is designed to encourage teachers to include geography in their classrooms, spark student interest in the subject, and increase public awareness about geography. National Geographic Bee

The National Geographic Bee is an annual competition organized by the National Geographic Society, designed to inspire and reward students’ curiosity about the world. Students from 10,000 schools across the United States competed in the May 17, 2017 National Geographic Bee for a chance to win college scholarships and the glory of being the National Geographic Bee Champion.
